BookNest's daily pipeline reads a nightly export. Finance's dashboards could live with that; fraud checks and the stock service cannot wait a day for an order's status. Debezium 317,608 (github.com/debezium/debezium (https://github.com/debezium/debezium 13,174 ), Apache 2.0) streams every committed change from the order database instead. This section runs Debezium 3.7.0.Final (29 September 2026, eleven days after 3.6), tested by the project with PostgreSQL 14-18 1,289 , against l2-pg (PostgreSQL 18.6) and a single Kafka 4.3.1 129 broker (demos/ch07/cdc/).
