ES5 appeared in December 2009 and ECMAScript 2015 in June 2015; since then Ecma has adopted an edition every June holding the proposals that reached Stage 4 (The TC39 Process). Each table lists an edition's main additions, an example and the section that teaches it: use them to choose a transpiler target such as es2022 (Build Tools and Bundlers).
