Online Editors
It is sometimes handy to host and publicly share a little code online. This is so that coders can easily work on it across different computers from different locations and collaborate.
For instance, it is a common practice in StackOverflow, a popular online Q&A programming forum (just come here when you are stuck!), to test out answers by linking tojsFiddle. Some official websites also conduct their tutorials with the help of these online editors (eg. CodePen for ReactJS; StackBlizt for AngularJS).
