Reverb 2,157 (https://github.com/laravel/reverb 1,620 ) 1.12.0 (22 September 2026, MIT) is Laravel 2,157 's WebSocket server, running on a ReactPHP event loop and speaking the Pusher 1,853 protocol. php artisan install:broadcasting --reverb adds routes/channels.php, config/reverb.php, config/broadcasting.php and resources/js/echo.js, writes an app id, key and secret to .env, and sets BROADCAST_CONNECTION=reverb. For token clients, replace channels: in withRouting() with withBroadcasting() and the options ['prefix' => 'api', 'middleware' => ['api', 'auth:sanctum']], which registers /api/broadcasting/auth.
