Every piece of your stack arrives as a signed package from a repository: .deb, dpkg and apt on Debian 319 and Ubuntu 225 ; .rpm, rpm and dnf on Fedora 1,480 , RHEL 664 , Rocky and AlmaLinux 7,122 . One problem shapes the rest: Ubuntu 26.04 LTS ships PHP 8.5, but Debian 13 stops at 8.4, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS at 8.3 and RHEL 10 at 8.4, so reaching 8.5 there means trusting a third-party repository.
