In a video, Google's Matt Cutts states that:

“ The difference between a domain that's six months old versus one year old is really not that big at all.”

This shows that they do consider domain age.

If you patiently maintain a website you created, chances are that over time, you will see its ranking climbs up for various keywords, even if you have not actively promoted it. A decent website typically reaches the top positions of search results for associated keywords in two years.
