Delta Lake and delta-rs

Delta Lake 237,929 (https://github.com/delta-io/delta 9,036 ), open-sourced by Databricks 2,717 in 2019 and now a Linux Foundation project, is Iceberg 129 's main rival. This section runs Delta Lake 4.4.0 (20 August 2026) on Spark 4.1.3 129 and delta-rs (https://github.com/delta-io/delta-rs 3,328 ), its Rust engine, against MinIO 30,943 .
