Projects is GitHub 29 's planning tool: a table, a Kanban board or a timeline built from the issues and pull requests of any number of repositories, plus draft items. Projects (classic) were sunset in August 2024, so "Projects" now means only this version. A project belongs to a user or an organization and is linked to repositories. Creating one for binarybehemoth from the command line fails:

Fine-grained tokens cannot reach Projects owned by a user (Fine-Grained Tokens); for organization projects they have a Projects permission. For a user project, sign gh 29 in through the browser and run gh auth refresh -s project, or use a classic token with the project scope. This book does neither, so the board was not created here.
In the browser (from GitHub's documentation): your profile, the Projects tab, New project; pick the Board layout, name it "BookNest roadmap" and click Create project; then, in the repository's Projects tab, Link a project. Add issues by pasting their URLs into the last row, or with gh project item-add. The board's columns are the values of its Status field (Todo, In Progress, Done); dragging a card changes that field, not the issue.
