Kubernetes 5,150 scales in three directions. The Horizontal Pod Autoscaler changes how many replicas run, the Vertical Pod Autoscaler 8,982 changes how big each one is, and a node autoscaler changes how many machines the cluster has. All three feed on the requests from Probes and Resources and on live metrics, which a bare kind 14,561 cluster does not have yet.
