Kubernetes 5,150 never runs a bare container. It runs a Pod: one or more containers scheduled together onto one node, sharing one network namespace (one IP address, one localhost) and, optionally, volumes. Deployments and Rollouts's controllers create Pods for you, but every workload ends up as Pods.
