Organic Click-through

Search Console 1 reports organic click-through rate (CTR) as clicks divided by impressions (Analytics and Search Console). Clicks feed ranking in aggregate, but not as a raw "more clicks, higher rank" rule: a Google slide shown at the trial warned that ranking purely on clicks would "promote low-quality, click-bait results", so click data is weighed alongside other signals. A site-wide "quality score" from organic CTR is unconfirmed; Quality Score is a Google Ads metric. Earn clicks honestly with accurate titles and descriptions that the page then delivers on.
