d3-zoom

Panning and Zooming with d3-zoom

d3.zoom() handles wheel, drag, double-click and pinch and passes a transform {k, x, y}. Rather than scaling a group (strokes and text included), semantic zoom redraws with transform.rescaleX(x), a zoomed copy of the scale; zoom.transform sets the state from code:

k makes October 2025 to April 2026 fill the plot, translateExtent stops panning past the data, and the clip path hides the rest.
