Installing Bootstrap

The quickest route is to link the compiled files from jsDelivr 15,886 , as the starter template in Starter Template and Reboot does. Pin the full version (bootstrap@5.3.8) and keep the integrity hash, so the browser refuses a file whose bytes have changed (integrity). Use bootstrap.bundle.min.js unless you load Popper 32,753 yourself; the plain bootstrap.min.js expects a global Popper for dropdowns, popovers and tooltips.

The CDN suits prototypes. To change colors in Sass 22,539 or ship only the components you use, install from npm 2,036 (Node.js Quick Start) into a bundler project (Build Tools and Bundlers): run npm install bootstrap @popperjs/core and npm install --save-dev sass, then import the Sass source and only the plugins you need, so that tree shaking drops the rest.

Current Dart Sass releases print deprecation warnings (mainly about @import) while compiling Bootstrap 5.3 2,007 . They are harmless; the official guides silence them by passing silenceDeprecations: ['import', 'mixed-decls', 'color-functions', 'global-builtin'] to Sass:
