Plugins pair a TypeScript API with Android and iOS code, joined by the bridge of How the Bridge Works. This section covers the official @capacitor/ plugins that talk to hardware, describe the device and the app's lifecycle, and shape the native chrome around the WebView.
Every example runs in one app: the finished Framework7 572,986 BookNest from Framework7 with a Capacitor 8.5.2 243,123 Android platform (Framework7 on Capacitor walks through that step), a Device lab page at /lab/, and src/js/lab.js, with one function per plugin. Each function passes its result to show(), which prints it on the page and logs it as LAB <label> <JSON>. Capacitor forwards the console to logcat, so whether you tap the buttons or call lab.notes() from the DevTools console (app.js sets window.lab), one command collects the results:
