How the Bridge Works

Every Capacitor 243,123 plugin call travels the same path: a JavaScript proxy turns the call into a small JSON message, native code finds the plugin and the method, the method runs on a background thread, and the result comes back as a resolved or rejected promise. This section follows one call through the @capacitor/android 8.5.2 source and traces it on the emulator with logcat. The probe app is the Vite 25,978 project from Toolchain Requirements with one in-app Java plugin, Shelf.
