Animatable and beginAnimation

scene.beginAnimation(target, from, to, loop, speedRatio, onEnd) plays the animations in target.animations; scene.beginDirectAnimation takes the array. Both return an Animatable, the running instance, with pause(), restart(), stop(), goToFrame(), speedRatio and waitAsync(), advanced by real elapsed time in every scene.render():

Starting, pausing, seeking and awaiting an AnimatableJavaScript
const books = BookNestStore.placeBooks(scene, BookNestStore.createBookcase(scene, 'case', 0));
BookNestStore.createWalkCamera(scene);
engine.runRenderLoop(() => scene.render());
const pull = new BABYLON.Animation('pull', 'position.z', 60, BABYLON.Animation.ANIMATIONTYPE_FLOAT);
pull.setKeys([{ frame: 0, value: -0.02 }, { frame: 30, value: -0.32 }]);
const started = performance.now();
const animatable = scene.beginDirectAnimation(books[2], [pull], 0, 30, false, 0.5);  // half speed
animatable.pause();
animatable.goToFrame(15); // seek: the value is applied at once
console.log(`paused at frame ${animatable.masterFrame}: z ${books[2].position.z.toFixed(2)}`);
animatable.restart();                           // resume
await animatable.waitAsync(); // resolves when the animation ends
console.log(`ended after ${Math.round(performance.now() - started)} ms`);
Output
paused at frame 15: z -0.17
ended after 505 ms

The seek skipped 15 frames; the other 15 took half a second at half speed. Animation.CreateAndStartAnimation() builds and starts a one-off tween in one call, and scene.animationsEnabled = false freezes the scene.
