An AdvancedDynamicTexture (ADT) is a DynamicTexture whose canvas holds the controls and is redrawn only when one changes. CreateFullscreenUI(name, foreground, scene) lays it over the viewport for HUDs and menus; CreateForMesh(mesh, width, height) makes it a mesh's texture, so the UI sits in the world, occluded like any surface, and takes picks through the mesh's UVs:

const engine = new BABYLON.Engine(view, true, {}, true);
const scene = BookNestStore.createScene(engine);
BookNestStore.createRoom(scene);
const right = BookNestStore.createBookcase(scene, 'bookcaseRight', 1.8);
const board = BABYLON.MeshBuilder.CreatePlane('sign', { width: 2, height: 0.5 }, scene);
Object.assign(board, { parent: right, position: new BABYLON.Vector3(0, 2.5, 0) });
const sign = BABYLON.GUI.AdvancedDynamicTexture.CreateForMesh(board, 1024, 256);
sign.background = '#1f5f8b';
sign.addControl(Object.assign(new BABYLON.GUI.TextBlock('label', 'New Arrivals'),
{ color: 'white', fontSize: 120 }));
const hud = BABYLON.GUI.AdvancedDynamicTexture.CreateFullscreenUI('hud', true, scene);
hud.idealWidth = 620; // size controls in CSS pixels
hud.addControl(Object.assign(new BABYLON.GUI.TextBlock('banner', 'BookNest'), { fontSize: 22,
top: '8px', left: '12px', textHorizontalAlignment: 0, textVerticalAlignment: 0 }));
const target = new BABYLON.Vector3(1.3, 1.6, 2.6);
new BABYLON.ArcRotateCamera('shop', -1.35, 1.35, 4.2, target, scene);
BookNestStore.renderWhenReady(engine, scene, 5);
}
</script>
The sign recedes with perspective; the banner stays in screen space. A fullscreen ADT follows the render size, which adaptToDeviceRatio doubles on a 2x screen, halving pixel-sized controls; idealWidth fixes that.
