The www Folder and the Default Project Layout

www is the web root: whatever sits there becomes https://localhost/ inside the app. cordova prepare copies it into each platform, adding that platform's cordova.js (and, once plugins exist, their scripts and cordova_plugins.js), so you never add cordova.js yourself:

Next to www, commit config.xml, package.json and res/ (icons and other resources, Icons and Splash Screens); platforms/, plugins/ and node_modules/ are rebuilt by the CLI and npm 2,036 . A merges/android/ folder, if present, holds files that replace their www twins in the Android copy only. With a bundler such as Vite 25,978 , www becomes build output that the bundler writes from a src folder; Framework7 builds BookNest that way.
