Older tutorials mention a third, desktop theme, Aurora. It arrived in Framework7 4.2.0 572,986 (20 March 2019), and in 7.x theme: 'auto' chose it only for desktop apps running inside Electron 20,509 . Framework7 8.0.0 (3 April 2023) removed it, in the release that rebuilt the Material theme on Material You 15,533 . The notes give no reason, but the likely one is cost: every component had to be styled three times, while desktop apps can use Material, which auto now picks for them.
Version 9.1.3 contains no reference to Aurora, yet it accepts theme: 'aurora' silently: ?theme=aurora put aurora on <html>, the navbar measured 0 pixels high, and BookNest rendered as unstyled text. Change any 'aurora' setting to 'md' or 'ios' before upgrading an old app.
