A React Native 36,878 app is fast by default until it does too much work on the JavaScript thread, renders more than it must, or starts slowly. This section measures each of those in BookNest with a demo screen, src/demos/Perf.tsx (opened at booknest:///demo), a release build and a CPU profile, and fixes what the numbers point at.
